they are generally NOT taken into consideration anyway. even though they tell you they are. an ex manager(retired) who is a very good friend of me and many of my work mates, and who still comes out for a drink with us now and again told me, that he once had 12 people to interview regarding absence, that could potentially lead to a stage warning being issued. he was told by HIS manager, that he was to issue each and every one of the people with a stage warning.!! this is BEFORE they had their interviews. this is blatant contempt, and a prejudement of the people being interviewed. it just goes to show how senior management regard us. we are garbage to them.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:mitigating circumstances - conditions or happenings which do not excuse or justify the conduct under consideration, but are considered out of mercy or fairness in deciding the degree of the offense, the charges to be applied, or influence a reduction of the penalty.
