Fellow posties, please read and download the Appendix 3 of the conduct Code, have it with you at all times and when the DIM try's to force O/T, read it out in front of him........remember to tell him prior to pulling down after prepping letters, packets, missorts, dead letters, re-directions and 1/6th D2D (as the agreement).
If no joy, have a witness present and note the conversation with DIM, if then no joy, fill in a Grievance and pass it onto stage 2 immediately because stage 1 is for your own line manager to deal with, I can see no point in this as he clearly does not know any agreements !!
It always helps to ask your DIM for a H1 form (B&H form) watch him panic !!
The prep test is only agreed for 1 minute during IPS & frame prep and you should be told when it starts, you should have enough work in front of you on the table. If you pass, that's it for 6 months.
DIM's cannot invent their own prep rates (that's intimadating) Contact your area rep ASAP if your office rep does not do his job properly.

At last somebody who has the knowledge to fight back. I have a meeting myself with a 2nd line manager coming up, but he is hardly likely to be impartial is he?
However, I will try and show how our new DOM is bullying everybody who is working to their time or going over on o/t, but without any agreed procedures.

She had my mail allegedly counted twice without my knowledge, but couldn't tell me how many letters I had thrown off, guessed how long I had actually been at my fitting and didn't count the 400 D2D'S I had put in before going on to the IPS at 6.15.
She then only used this count up to when I had my break at 8.30. I actually worked out that actual time on my frame would have been just 35 mins before my break.
Just counting D2D'S i would have had a prep rate of 11 and if they said I did 11 without counting my D2D's then perhaps I have a record high rate for the office.

The whole thing is just ridiculous. We all know it's generally caused by being stuck on the IPS for too long and simply just not having enough prep time if you do your job properly.

I am going to try and show how stupid they are in our office, but like I have said before on this forum, I really believe this has to be addressed at the highest level because a lot of people are too afraid to fight this on their own.

48 Box Frame (so called because its 8 x 8 boxes)


RM 2000 Frame (so called because thats the year they were introduced I think)


48 Boxes are usually Firms Duties and IPS, 2000 Frames are residential type or rural/
