What training can they give you on the sorting? Years ago I taught myself, you can only pick it up by practice.
What has always bothered me about sorting is the lax attitude towards it and the fact that as there are 20 people sorting 20,000 items then 3 or 4 people can toss it off and only do a couple of hundred whilst it interrupts their chat around the fitting because everyone else will have to pitch in at the end to help them clear. It wouldn't be tolerated at most other jobs so why it is here is beyond belief.
And one other thing, it should be ISS, not IPS. That's Inward Primary Sorting, we do Inward Secondary Sorting ;)
