Clash and Lincox both make good arguments,but i can't help feeling Lincox has hit on something i've been saying in our office for some time.
we've been Receiving walk sequenced mail since November but no hint of a revision,so why on earth would the business bother with A) a full blown revision to release money they apparently don't have,when we're already at B??

The only real issue is the timescale involved.
The clock is ticking for offices that haven't deployed anything yet and the pressure will mount.
That's when f*ckups tend to occur.

Our Self starter revision was due to go in last June but hasn't been deployed because there are no savings.

They've tried to shift the goalposts several times,but our argument is the IWT done to 100 BSI shows we need an investment of hours in our office(we're classed as a high performing office).We want these hours put in the office and paid the revision lump sum.

A senior Royal Mail director/manager said at the Stirling workshop that this "science"(IWT and Georoute) was the "only show in town" and if it showed your office needed hours put in,that's what would happen.

We only want what was promised,but I'm not holding my breath.

A revision is where the duty set is revised with the intention of making it work better or to reflect operational changes such as SWW, Delivey methods, sequenced mail. It is not a savings plan.

If genuine savings are indentified to be had then all well and good.

Try telling that to RM Managers Big Daz. This is all about cuts, budgets and whatever you want to call it, and nothing to do with making the job more modern or easier for us posties.

seems to me that royal mail are bringing in all the bad parts of the agreement and giving us none of the benefits, whats worse the CWU is letting it happen
