BUT my new hours are only 11 hours less than the total i worked last year, but they are keeping 24 hours off me, why?

Try this.
26 days off on 8 hour day........ 26 days off on 8 hour 50 min day.
On a 8.50 day you are having 21 hours 40 min extra off.
They have took 3 days off you, They are taking 2 hours 20 min too much by my quick reckoning.

there are 100 people in the office, 96 are delivery staff. all of them are either 9 day fortnights or 3 over 4. and ALL are being robbed of 4.5 hrs, bout 432 hrs by my reckoning. but thats just our office. how many more are there i wonder. they are getting away with thousands of hours of unpaid work.

Not if it is adjusted the following year as already happens with those who have less than 15 years service.
At the moment if you are a new start you are entitled to 22 and a half days but you never get 22 and a half days.
One year you get 22 and the next 23.
This is called the half day adjustment and it should apply to you.
This year 23 days...next year 24....just make sure it does.
Everyone should get the same, but if you work entitled holidays but if you only work 4 day week, you will only get 4 days off but it will be full pay. Exactly the same as 5 day week person that has a week off. I'm going to assume that 1 day lieu day will be 9 hours whilst 5 day week person will be 8 hours. If this isnt the case then i think your get ripped off.
