Maybe not - IIRC, the numbers in delivery functions outweigh staff numbers in all other areas of the business combined....what voted it in was people in all areas seeing pound signs in the agreement, and not considering what the cost for that payment would be, and either voting YES or not voting at all ( but try conducting a straw poll in your office, and everyone in it will say they voted NO :hmmmm

PS, if you are going to post something contentious, then post something that advances the debate, not something that is ill thought out and almost designed to antagonise & create angry responses, like your post above.
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Or do what I do and just post naughty things :nervous

And the deal went through because of the people not voting IMHO.

they remove the cap in january ... so in theory you could be asked to do more than 5 items of d2ds per door .... that will be fun and games

Very true, the yes votes were less than 50% of the ballot papers despatched.

Yet that seems to be forgotten by the powers that be in the CWU as it dosent suit their argument about modernisation in public ownership. Billy and Dave are forever pointing out how we voted in favour of the BT2010 agreement and modernisation has the support of the mbrs, but the reality is rather different. The membership have not endorsed BT210 in any meaningful way at all.

Billy and Dave need to remember they are not the ones doing the implementation its the local reps having to introduce change that does not have a proper mandate to a hostile membership. Not exactly what I signed up for when I became a rep.
