you have touched on a point there which aggravates me to an unbelievable level,
the main sorting office in my town, it's a well known fact that their posties are out on delivery while smaller delivery office's staff are still on the IPS :evil/mad
we've had several instances in the past where a few of their posties had completed their delivery and turned up at ours to take a walk out on overtime (which had been prepped for them) and they were out delivering that before we were out the door
one actually admitted to having a walk which on average took 45 mins to complete !!

the reason they get away with it ? guaranteed 9.00 o'clock deliverys.
if any pressure whatsoever is put on them (lapsing etc), they slam the anchors on, the 9.00 o'clocks fail, RM get fined, RM revert to the original system.

now heres my big bugbear
the sheer inequality of the offices
our DO is probably regarded as the shittest in town to work in
the nearest 2 do's (covering 5 postcodes between them) seem to be the best
often see staff finished and home 2 hours before we are dure to finish

Different DO's?
Same down here guys, there are some places i'd sell my grannie to get into it's so different.
But don't let it get to you,the way these revisions are geared at with all the facts and figures used more and more offices will be the sameish than not.

Tbh i don't stress over it,i get me head down, knock the s**t out and go.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
