Am I right in saying in the agreement we were supposed to be allocated time to put our door to doors together.
I have 4 lots this week and no time is allowed to put them together.
In my office this don’t exist. You either come in early and do them or through your break.
D.O.M say’s if you have 2 lots don’t count. 3 lots don’t count. 4 to 5 he will monitor it.
It’s a joke. We are forced to go over now. Who can I see about this.

And another thing , for example , today we did an extra 25 mins on ips, we have also got 5 d2d, including the salvation army bags. It took me about an extra 25 mins to prep them. So that is an extra 50 mins eating away at my time.The time has to come from somewhere.Do i come in early and work for nothing? not a feckin chance....Do i take the d2d home and prep them their? not a feckin chance.....Do i run around like a headless chicken to try and make up the time,? WHAT? at my age , not a feckin chance........what do i do.? Leave the bottom row......its not rocket science is it....

Time is allocated to door2doors, you get a max of 20 minutes a day.

Per 500 delivery points

1 contract = 4mins
2 contracts = 8mins
3 contracts = 10mins
4 contracts = 11mins
5 contracts = 12mins
6 contracts = 14mins

So for a delivery with 1000 delivery points, the time allocated to prep 5 sets of D2D is 24 minutes.

No its designed for you to do only 1/6 per day so the duty should have 24minutes allowed for 1 d2d for that week.

and


2 contracts = 8mins a week = 48mins
3 contracts = 10mins a week = 1 hour
4 contracts = 11mins a week = 1hr 6mins
5 contracts = 12mins a week = 1hr 12 mins
6 contracts = 14mins a week = 1hr 24 mins

Sounds easy, but when you've got 18 letters already in, how do you get 10 door to doors into one slot, on frames that have one slot for two (or more) calls?

The whole thing is a pile of crap dreamt up by someone who has never stood in front of an RM2000
Double slots are supposed to be a thing of the past but with the sizes of rounds being proposed, single slot frames will be enormous. You would need to roller skate from one end to the other (and I haven't seen an LTB from Dave Joyce regarding the H&S issues surrounding the use of roller skates in the DO)

No opportunity to absorb/lapse duties.

Are you saying that in some offices the DOM goes - the mail is down, so the call rate is down, so you can lapse today?

It doesnt matter if they allocate time or not, you only work 8 hrs a day, so if it takes you longer to get out the office because you havent had time to put them in earlier resulting in you cutting off, so be it. Watch your DOM take notice then

Utter bollocks, you're ENTITLED to a break, if anyone says otherwise tell them you're entitled to and you're taking it regardless (we have a split break 20/20 <8.30/end of duty>) - if you don't take it you're a muppet. And if they threaten conduct code, let them, get a decent rep involved and see how far they'll push it - not very far I bet..

No, they're RM-management, complete gods that can forsee the future and do our job at a far faster rate than us regulars ever could..

Follow the sensible advice above and you won't go far wrong, can't believe people are still taking them home, doing in breaks etc (well, actually I can, because it happens in our office!)
