I do'nt know about your office but we have far to many managers for the office and most of the time they are just standing watching.
The news about slashing managers comes as a refreshing change and should have been done years ago!

2000? JC that's a drop in the ocean, the shop floor will have lost close on 100,000 by the time this agreement has run its course.

I expect a lot of them will be looking to drop down to OPG's - they knew this was coming and didn't fill FT vacancys just so they could drop back.

I would of thought a lot would be from mail centre closures?
I know in the NE we are due to go from 9 to 3 MC's.

I believe the proposal does not affect Operational managers, but the threat of compulsory redundancies will surely affect everybody, over time.
