In my opinion this is the true shame on our union AND members, how good people can be left out to dry in scandalous dismissal cases.Blind eyes are being turned by all.

He's moving on... you really must have better eyesight than me...i coudn't see that part of his post.
Like i said...i don't know the guy and neither do you so if you can't help him try not to waste your time and his by inferring this and that about the guy.

He posted his opinions on a public forum; what's time-wasting about it? {Or maybe you feel your time is productively used when you point out rather self-evidently that "we don't know the guy"? }

O.K. Tman so you seem to think that an employee has no right to refuse to work overtime, PLEASE SHOW ME where you get this information, This flies against every workers right or any employee has against any employer. Are you a walking o.p.g.if so you must be in a great position with no pressure to finish your walk. OR mabe your one of these headless chickins that will run around,work your meal-break,use your car,start early ect ect.

By the way i have an ace up my sleve in reguards to the I.T. but as already mentioned, im not daft enough to say on this or any other open site.

Only trouble is Ulster Postie you may well win your IT hearing but the compensation you will get will in no way compensate for your loss of earnings, never mind the stress & turmoil of being unfairly dismissed.

Union what Union - the title says it all.

"Union rule 4:

Members of the Union are entitled to:

1. be treated with respect and courtesy by Union staff, officials and members;

3. have appropriate matters raised with the Union dealt with promptly and efficiently.

Rule 14

1. General

2. A member shall be liable to disciplinary action in respect of the following:

a) Acting in breach of the Rules of the Union."

You need to raise this matter with the General Secretary so that he can pass it on to the National Discipline Committee. By law, the Union have to give you a copy of the Rulebook if you request it.
