There will be job losses due to this.
Yes there will.
Part-timer's hours may go up but overall office hours will go down.
That can only mean one thing...hopefully through VR...but i have my doubts.
some p/t have been offered the chance to go to 40 hr contracts, the only snag is that its from 1000 to 1600,1000 - 1430 delivery,1500 - 1800 collections, that went down well, but there are ppl desperate for more hrs,as RM rightly know.

our manager had a meeting with the DSM and he said no contracts will be changed until thew next revision.
my advise. get into a specialised job such as driving. im working 60 odd hours a week now which is hard but im nervious about what they will do to me at the next revision, i.e. put me back down to 20 hours. at least its busy again now so i know im safe till april.

Not hard to see why there's no full time contracts

Actually ft, I only work 25 hours and that is a loose description according to the managers
It was someone else working 60 hours on a 20 hour contract Not much representation in that office then.
I knew it wasn't you putting in 60hr weeks for Royal Mail dvb.
I just got my quotes screwed up...i think i've fixed it now.
