Area rep about as good as an ashtray on a motorbike saying this is fine.
Now we are getting bullied more when working to our time with people being singled out and mail counted then in the office for a dressing down.

Re: Flexibility
We had our first WTL for a few weeks today and our happy go lucky smug tosser of a DOM decides that even though the mail volumes has gone up we are going to keep lapsing. When told by the lads on 30 hour contracts they will not be taking any extra out he starts barking on about the flexibility agreement and tells them they "HAVE" to take out the extra work and cannot claim due to days he MAY of finished earlier weeks ago and he owes the business. This lad comes in on his time and due to our office only having one part time duty he constantly gets put on full time rural duty's and the boss told us our CWU rep is full of s**t and in not these exact words but what he says goes and ignore the union.
Another happy day in the world of royal balls up!!!!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The Pay and Mod allows for 30 minutes flexibility (with certain provisions) each week and the pay back is that week - it certainly does not carry over.
