Funny place, way to treat staff...

Was told twice in 2 weeks by asst Dom, "Really pleased with the way your doing the ***."

So, one min, I'm the best thing since sliced bread, next, I'm the Devils Spawn.

Don't most businesses/companies VALUE hard working/dedicated staff?

Picked up copy of Drs consultation, few days after the Accident.

States, "Pulled over by dog..." Nothing to do with loose steps, coconut mats slipping, dodgy floor tile, dark porch etc.
Just "some" of the suggested alternative RM have tried to utilise.

Apparently, the dogs owner was upstairs at the time, and heard nothing. Convenient that, eh?

But...sounds like an Accident, NOT Incident to me. And anyone else with 1/2 a brain.

TIME-LIMIT: What's the time limit, if any, between Stage Meeting/discussion and Issuing of a Stage?

Think someone once said a month, but I'm unsure.

This recent Employment Tribunal case might be of interest to Thunderthighs:

An employment tribunal found that a postwoman had been unfairly dismissed after a series of absences. Her employer had invoked its attendance procedure after Ms Bempong was absent on 12 occasions over a three-year period. Although her employer had discounted a number of absences on the ground that they had been caused by accidents at work (including a 57-day absence after being attacked by a dog while delivering post), it had unreasonably included a period of sick leave caused by an accident at work where she was nearly run over by a van and a period of absence during which she was suffering from depression.

The time limit should be a 'reasonable' time limit,but what is reasonable to them and what we think are no doubt 2 different things.

If they take the piss with it then strongly argue you want it backdated.

Ok, "Latest" news...

Stage 2 NOT issued, but Stage 1 re-issued. ( You can't appeal a 1, bit it's not as bad as a 2 overall.)
Yep, I know it's a bit weird and unusual, But...it "SEEMS" to be a good compromise for me.

Think this will bring bring Closure, without all the hassle/letters/meetings AND my points/concerns have been listed/documented.

So...as long as I can still get a "fair trail" if anything affects this decision in the near/far future.

You can't appeal a 1

Be careful of this,it's a common misconception.
You can always appeal on "failure to follow procedure" no matter the stage.
But if your happy and feel it's a fair result then that's good enough for me.

Newish manager seems ok, and even asked my opinion on something quite important regarding H and S !!!

So, it'll be a case of I and others KNOW I'm right, but to save all the crap, it's sorta safer to assume it won't go further...for now.

It's like being kicked in just the one testicle !!!

UPDATE; Looks as though, after a chat/review, Stage 1 will be "re-issued".

Never heard of this before, but at least it's NOT a Stage 2...

So, have written I DO NOT agree with the decision, and reserve the right to utilise this should it go any further.

Hopefully it will all quieten down, and sort itself out.

TBH , can't be bothered to take it further at this time...they've worn my resistance down.

Got enuff on my plate with other "home" stuff at the moment. Bloody Kids!!!

They cannot re-issue a stage warning only give you advice in not contravening the previous stage.!
