We currently work as follows:

11.30 - 12.00 Seg Mail

12.00 - 04.30 sequence mail - with one 10 minute break - if finished early, go and prep sequenced mail

04.30 - 05.30 prepare for wave 2 and take 30 min meal relief

05.30 - 08.00 sequence mail - one 10 min break during this session

08.00 - 09.30 maintenence of machines then throw up walks whilst regular posties disappear :left:

Generally we find this ok. The only thing we strongly dont like is having to throw walks up at the end of our shift. We find after a 9 hour shift, of very physical work, to stand at a frame you are not familiar with, whilst fatigued, is a real struggle. Also cant see the point in throwing about 3 letters a minute into a frame, as being value for RM. But more galling, is Posties who SHOULD be doing this work, are going out on their deliveries, or just sat watching us, or going for unofficial breaks. Thankfully this is being tackled.

Yes they'll tackle it by disciplining you for not working fast enough - slackers, 3 letters a minute, disgraceful! Do you realise how hard these guys have to work to finish 2 hours early :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle
