Mon,give it back Tue,then Wed give it back Thur, then Fri give it back Sat.
And they DON'T need to give you 24hrs notice, but they DO have to give it back to you in the SAME WEEK!
I have checked the 24hr flex bit ,they do need to give you 24hrs notice and it is in the agreement i was informed today, when i had a tate de tate with a manager he said yes we do have to give 24hrs notice and he then explained to us that the reason they never used it with us is because he said they cant work out when they could possibley give the hrs back,so has anyone got a copy of the agreement because it really is annoying when you cant put your finger on it.
Now i haven't read it lately but i'm 100% sure they do not have to give you 24hrs notice, the idea of flexing is for when they have exceptional circumstances like a lorry breaks down ect.
Now if your manager thinks it's 24hrs then you've got a result!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Must admit I thought they could impose the half hour flex once in a week ; but had to give that back the next week. We got 'flexed' last week to get a lapsed round out.
And you agreed? And did you get it back in the same week?
I did. The 'flex was on a Friday. I did get it back the next week.
Not a great fan of 'flexing' .. It is a one way street

Mine comes round and asks me which bit i'm leaving, even before i tell him i'm cutting
It's like walking into your local and your favorite tipple is waiting on the bar.
It gives you a warm fuzzy feeling.
