totally agree with you ,im currently signed off by doctor with servere pains in both feet, yet 10mins on phone to atos and apparantly im fit for full duty until i see specialist.stupidboy wrote:ATOS are a disgrace. didn't want to know about getting in touch with my consultant merely made a diagnosis after a 15 minute phone call which totally contradicted my gp and consultants

I was off once and was told by manager he needed my consent to allow ATOS to contact me. I said no thanks I'll take the advice of my doctor so I didn't get a call from them in 2weeks off. JUST SAY NO. NO! JUST SAY NO. JUST SAY NO. NO! JUST SAY NO.

Or better still. Insist on seeing a proper Doctor, face to face, like I did. Just make sure that it's really a Doctor, and that they're not trying to fob you off with a less qualified person, when you arrive.

If and when you sit down for a stage 1 or 2 or an RTU and a referance is made to the atos report ask how much of their recomendations is/are based on the actual medical knowledge of the person who signed the bloody thing.
