That colossal and pain inducing "thud" every morning made the whole nonsense of waking up at 5.15 am almost tolerable ! :dance :dance
I have a dog that does that too,it's laminate on the other side so I hear it's nails scampering at pace toward the door then Thud as it bounces off the door.

The other side of that door must be in some nick!

I think it's fun to keep hold of a big mag or catalogue as the stupid mutt tries to rip it to bits then pull the mag/cat back through the letter box with the mutt attached so it slams it's face on the inside of the door :arrrghhh

I just hold onto the letters a little bit and then let them pull it thru the letterbox...
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

The cat actually did the most damage as it drew blood on three different occasions before I decided that I had had enough and got my lino to go out and have a chat with the idiot of an owner, who thought the whole thing was hilarious.
Had the same thing on my round recently. I kept a D2D that the cat had shredded to show the customer. She thought it was funny. She found it less amusing when she had no post delivered and soon put a dog guard up on the inside.
