Had we a decent union to protect us, this question of long, burdensome Saturdays, would never see the light of day in the first place.
D'you know something H, I had a bad experience some years ago with another union, but this one takes the biscuit:

In this economic climate, the company has no money, we have got to be realistic, there will be winners and losers, you have to look at the big picture, we want everyone to perform to the top 10%, there will be no excuse for not implementing the agreement, it is a question of trust, the continuity of service is of paramount importance, there is to be a new financial footing between RM and the CWU, the MTSF is to be changed, the union is to be reorganised

you can hardly credit that these people are being paid to look after our interests
Have you been drinking PEC tea? :cuppa

That's the beauty of it, dvbuk.....We do pay these management lackeys to look out for us. Every time we strike, we lose money we can ill afford to lose, then those Herberts go and negotiate more of our terms and conditions away, and before we can say, Jack Robinson, we're stuck in an increasingly dead-end job, infinately worse off job wise than we were before foolishly taking to the gate.
I intend to kop myself on in the near future, as being taken for a mug by this union is starting to piss me right off, and no mistake.
