I can categorically disagree with you Saturday is NOT included! I was a member of the team that was in the meeting discussing the delivery of the election material and it was stated in the meetings that Saturday was not classed as one of the delivery days!!! Saturday is classed as a non-working day!tomangoe wrote:Sorry , but thats wrong - the agreement does include delivering ona Saturday ! I quote " Addressed items : delivery to take place within 3 working days from receipt (including Saturdays) ,un-addressed items : delivery to take place within 7 working days from receipt (including Saturdays) "

I was quoting from the National Agreement on the delivery of Election Material which can be downloaded on this site.If you have a local agreement ,how can Saturdays not be a working day !

Although if I'm going there anyway I'm taking them as the next 2 weeks are going to be murder with different stuff coming in on different days. Why save 10 min on a Saturday to break your back on a Monday,no?

Because un-addressed mail is being treated as d2d maybe? I don't know why addressed is Saturday exempt tbh but it is.tomangoe wrote:I was quoting from the National Agreement on the delivery of Election Material which can be downloaded on this site.If you have a local agreement ,how can Saturdays not be a working day !

I can see your logic mate, if you're going there anyway it can make sense to get rid of some on sat. Do we have a definitive answer to how much we get paid for the items? I'm reading a lot of different figures quoted so far.proper postie wrote:Na mate you're wrong ping pong,Saturdays do not count.tomangoe wrote:Sorry , but thats wrong - the agreement does include delivering ona Saturday ! 6p an item, quite an improvement on the 3p last time. One last Hurrah before we get shafted when the agreement gets voted in.
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.
