oh right. still a crock of s**t anyway. just gone from p/t to f/t after nearly 10 yrs. had to give up my walk with 977 delivery points. d2ds used to get me 48 quid before tax for 3. my take home pay hardly went up lolcantbelieveit's... wrote:dont think thats right dibs, our basic pay will still be what where on at present but only working 39 hours, so it will be extra money an hour.dids620 wrote:not only do we lose early shift allowance but also we lose an hours pay (working week being reduced from 40 to 39 hrs) therefore we'd be doing the d2ds for rock all!!!!coxie wrote:yes the amounts will vary some weeks might be 3 lots and the next 8 or 9, the carrot is a bonus which isnt really a lump sum payment its money from our collegue shares that we are entitled to regardless of whether we agree this deal or not, the payments are all pro rata so part timers will get less. We lose the early shift allowance so effectively do door to doors for 8 quid a week. So its a bum deal and i hope people dont see the lump sum payment as a way to voting yes because that money is ours anyway and most will be paid to us in the future anyway.

I know what your saying mate , it's s**t to be honest. This is going to put a huge divide between delivery staff, spliting the union which is what RM wanted. If you have someone doing a delivery which has say 300 d2d calls(firm delivery) and then the person on the next delivery has 800 d2d calls hows this fair, its going to cause many problems.dids620 wrote:oh right. still a crock of s**t anyway. just gone from p/t to f/t after nearly 10 yrs. had to give up my walk with 977 delivery points. d2ds used to get me 48 quid before tax for 3. my take home pay hardly went up lolcantbelieveit's... wrote:dont think thats right dibs, our basic pay will still be what where on at present but only working 39 hours, so it will be extra money an hour.dids620 wrote:not only do we lose early shift allowance but also we lose an hours pay (working week being reduced from 40 to 39 hrs) therefore we'd be doing the d2ds for rock all!!!!coxie wrote:yes the amounts will vary some weeks might be 3 lots and the next 8 or 9, the carrot is a bonus which isnt really a lump sum payment its money from our collegue shares that we are entitled to regardless of whether we agree this deal or not, the payments are all pro rata so part timers will get less. It could cause the management problems if you do your job properly, just cut off!cantbelieveit's... wrote:I know what your saying mate , it's s**t to be honest. I have read the deal and also the comments here, especially the D2Ds issue, particularly walks sizes and lifting the cap.
I am going to vote NO to this and send it back for renegotiation.

IPS, I was hopeing that this agreement would put an end to the farce of cutting off, if people are cutting off it because there duty has not been structured properly. cutting off is what leads to excess pressure from managers which then leads to bullying. I was hopeing that duties would be equal and that duties would be planned properly.

I know what you mean. Apparently they will need to do full office revisions with peg georoute to account for 100% attendance. This should, in theory, lead to shorter deliveries.cantbelieveit's... wrote:IPS, I was hopeing that this agreement would put an end to the farce of cutting off, if people are cutting off it because there duty has not been structured properly. cutting off is what leads to excess pressure from managers which then leads to bullying. Re: Put it into laymens terms please
In laymans terms, most people get a pay cut in exchange for only having to work their full hours. The CWU are dressing this up as 'fair workloads' etc etc, but the fact is you'll be getting less money for the same work, and it will be 2-3 years before you're again earning what you are now.
Delivery spans are all to be agreed locally so you might end up with a 5 hour walk, or any length of walk within your hours.

Re: Put it into laymens terms please
this leaked document is obviously a hoax. 4 months to negotiate a pay decrease. come on, get real. the early morning allowance is protected by grandfather rights. the pec are still scrutinising the real agreement and would never sanction a deal that would place many members on or around the breadline

And you have just hit the nail on the head. How can duties be planned on 100% when some weeks it may be more than the optimumcantbelieveit's... wrote:What i can't understand is if your doing prehaps 1 lot of d2d's in one week but then the next week you get 6 lots how are you supposed to work your full hours, either your going under in the one week or going over in the next week, how can you build duties when you dont know exactly what work will be there to be done. this again leaves us open to pressure from managers and bullying tactics.![]()
