It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

As for duties being worked on how many signed for's it gets, there is no such thing set in stone as far as i'm aware.
Hampshire, are you on a high st or something like that, then common sence says if you're struggling with it,it needs to be looked at.
High St is correct. It's actually a really nice walk. Just the variation in signed fors can really distort the time to complete.

So you get ' it was a light day; how come you were late back'.... 'Well I think the 18 signed fors had something to do with it'

So in essence the bottom line is : Pegasus does not allow for factoring in stuff like that.

Special Delivery Items
Due to the current state of deliveries and the consequential increase in time on the street for many of our members. This BOB paragraph is to remind Branches of the maximum number of special delivery items to be carried on each delivery and the procedures applicable.
All foot and cycle deliveries - 8 maximum.
Identifiable high value - 3 maximum (this does not mean 5 lower value can also be taken).
All deliveries should be risk assessed in order to protect members from potential attack where high value items are identified. In some cases this may require single items to be delivered by other means e.g. vehicle delivery.
Any enquiries to Bob Gibson, Acting Assistant Secretary, Postal Outdoor Dept. quoting reference 530.

AFAIK and i've not been told any different this holds the field

best of luck, i'd be interested to know how you get on with this.
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

The original question about how much time for sign fors was answered by Postman in that there is not set time. However under Peagasus there is an attendance rate which factors in the average amount of calls that you have "customer interaction" with. Check with your manager to see what the "Attendance Rate" is for your duty.

At my old DO the high st was done by a driver, you really should not be doing it,you're going over the '8' allowance anyway, rep needs to get this sorted.
