Re: DOMS FOR THE CHOP
With a management picket line in place and all offices increasing productivity during that period............what to do next. Surely shooting themselves in the foot

Re: DOMS FOR THE CHOP
I would walk through their picket without hesitation just as they did with ours. My problem is that I would also do some managers work to help RM out too, such as drinking coffee and having a ciggie.
The time has come to stop turning the other cheek, time to stop shaking our heads in bitter dismay, time to stop mumbling our angry words.
The time has come for union.
The time has come for union.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: DOMS FOR THE CHOP
Not sure what a dom does in his/her time, while we are out delivering. But it seems to me that if their is no work available, then why pay them? As adam said to us "all i want is for them to work their full contracted hours", and i don't think they are.
Its not just the doms that will get the chop but it will run through the chain to us. Some of us maybe laughing at them, but in reality jobs will probably go in our department downstairs. If there is natural wastage, then its time to go.

Oh, how I laughed when I saw that article in the Mirror newspaper today.
I wonder what any knobhead who's just joined the ranks of wanks, thinks about their "rock-solid future", now.

I wouldn't cross their picket line because there wouldn't be one.
They are much too spineless and will take whatever is on offer and jump.

Re: DOMS FOR THE CHOP
I know from experience that if the 3 managers in my office weren't there then we operate better, the only thing they do now is IPS, prep and asking why you can't do your delivery in the alloted time.
As for walking past a managers picket line..........................I afraid the answer is yes because they did the same for us and would do the same in the future.
Plus we have to remember that if RM get their monthly pay then that would mean another reduction in the admin needed for the wages department (and if they bothered getting us electronic time cards, all that information would just be sent automatically).

Only joking! But really, I couldn't care less for the scabby, bullying, bone idle shower! Goodbye and good riddance!
