Wake up and EAT something even if it is a piece of fruit to help get liver glycogen levels back up and make sure to have a glass of water, you have been in bed for the last 6-8 hours with the body going through all sorts of clearing and repair processes..IT NEEDS WATER AND FOOD so feed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TAKE YOUR MEAL BREAK before going out on delivery and have some protein and a slow releasing carbohydrate, simple solution is a ham or beef sandwich on whole wheat bread with some salad or a piece of fruit and a drink. Sod all this chomping down rubbish out of the garbage dispensing machines Royal Mail seem so hell bent on putting into the delivery offices, crisps, mars bars and overly sweet coffee will not get you round a 3.5 hour delivery, your insulin levels will sky-rocket after eating/drinking this muck and then blood sugar levels will start to plummet around 90 minutes later, cue for more garbage consumption on rounds and sugar drinks all of which just make the problem(s) worse leaving you wide open to weight gain and diabetes later on. The more insulin you continuously release in large spurts the more the receptor sites shutdown, long term a very bad thing, the more insulin you release the more calories you store as FAT because your body will know that your blood glucose levels are full (usually around 5-10 grams of glucose/sugar) so will go into storage mode and store these calories around your waistline and hips.

When in office and on delivery...........DRINK water and plenty of it, obviously not so much that your peeing for Britain but enough to stop you feeling thirsty, being properly hydrated will give you energy and curb excessive eaten, far too many people in today`s society confuse the the thirst mechanism/feedback for being hungry so eat and eat when in fact they are hungry, the more you eat the more your body NEEDS WATER to process the food and move it through your body or you will not digest the food properly, get gas, stomach bloat and constipated.

If in doubt speak with your doctor.
This is really spot on advice.A copy of it should be displayed in every DO and every newstart should be given a copy.
I would only add that if you are constantly thirsty, that the weight you have put on is around your waist or you are really bad-tempered towards the end of your delivery, these may be symptoms of type 2 diabetes. You should get checked out by a doctor (blood test not urine test) and get proper treatment.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
