Definitely. I've always dealt with the drivers without getting anything signed, they take stuff for me and I take oversized stuff for them when I can get it in. The exception though is my current driver who is a complete bell end, but generally most aren't like that IME.POSTMAN wrote:It's also swings and roundabouts with this packet malarkey, drivers and walkers,we're our own worst enemy with this.

Simple what you do keep to the 1.25kg weight that a walk man is to carry in his satchel ( its is 1.25kg not 2.2kg) Put the template on the bag frame and sort over sized boarder line packets that way. Multi packets for the same address go to the driver no argument and it should be these point that the rep is arguing about and making sure the DOM keeps to this.
The divide between walkmen and drivers will allways exist because the drivers think the "Walkmen are lazy bar stewards" and the walkmen think " well hes in a van" its a bit of give and take sometimes going out your way to ask the driver and explain to him why you need him to take it for you.

and tat's when he tells you to make more pouches up.OnAFlyer wrote: Another question that comes to mind is wtf are people doing taking these big packets. You can either fit them in your bags or you can't. If you can fit them in then take them.If you can't, then when your bags are packed up take them to the manager and tell him if he can fit the packets in you'll take them.
Just spilt stain-remover down my shirt. Now how do I get that out?

no bother with that in ours, only it happens everyday that someone takes the pi$$ & wangs over some A5's,the DIM is in the frames checking, but as a rule if its to big or is a triple tie up,over it goes to the yorke
