Heard about a letter last year that gave a detailed description on the envelope as to where the house was located.
No householder name etc. but it had description of the house and a road name along with details about buildings nearby to help 'narrow' it down.
Have no idea if it got delivered or not.
Maybe for that kind of service... searching etc, there should be an extra charge for that?

At the end of the day some of the general public are just downright thick or stupid! What else can be said. The same people are no doubt the ones who think we a lazy lay abouts and thives so why should we do anything othr tuan our job. Kill em off. If everyone put a return address on every letter there would be a big shock at how many letters came back to sender, instead of eventually being destroyed and then the customer accusing us of losing or knicling it!

too bloody right I do. Now I'm not taking the morale ground it's just that we are employees therefore we has rules to follow and that's all I'm doing. We don't have to agree with them to follow them as it's our job you take the money so why not do your job properly.
You would make a good traffic warden my little jobsworth :hmmmm Merry Christmas

Today I was on a diff duty it turns out they have been collecting the cards up all week not knowing where they go. Thought I better take a look through them as was in a good mood today as it was nice for a change of duty. Of he 130 in the pile I automatically found homes for most of them I'm not saying I'd just kill em all off just not spending the time searching through frame for the obscure one.

I even returned 4 um stamped ones to the office that had been thrown in frame for me to deliver. The lino said what are these I explained no postage their response was it's Christmas basically that says it's alright not to put stamps on cards what if everyone did it? My response was tell me where it gives an exception for postage at Christmas In standard operating procedure their face went blank.
