Was told today that SA overtime is being cut back and that we can only book flat rate overtime in order to try and recover some of the losses we've made due to the crap revision they forced in 3 months ago.

Christ help us when it gets really busy !!

The 9am "missort" :left: run mail wasnt even sorted, the Doms said there wasnt any time to sort it up . Loads of xmas cards , first class etc.. just left for tomorrow...or whenever.
Its a f***ing disgrace.

We have been told that we are expected to work over our time unless we write a letter saying that we wont extend our delivery time......the Doms office was flooded with letters from people saying you can stick your flexibility and enforced O/T up your arses , basically !! :nana

sounds like my office ,ding dong :cool

My officice same ,on IPS ,we have more people not doing IPS than doing it .The Biggest post code in the office used to have about 40% of the office working on it now most days their are 3 of us ,but with he mail volumes falling so much this is all we need ?

This is why 1 Manager the other day was openly praying to God what had we done to deserve all this mail.

Linos have no idea what to do,still will be even more efficient soon with Pegus 2 in jan ,proably only need a handfull of people on IPS as volumes are falling so much. !!
Cut offs will be daily till they realise just what can and cant work, good to know we have got such good managers, almost as good as the CWU.

My problem is if Saturday is anything to go by, we only got off IPS at 845, what do I do ?? Its only gona get worse and im gona be due out and theyre still gona be on IPS !! Do I leave work as normal coz if I do then im gona have to start tieing up at 8:15, and theyre gone have another 45mins IPS to do ?? Were a tiny offcie and im the only 1 on FF so stand out like a sore thumb and get comments everyday about why can I go out etc , even though I start 45mins b4 everyone else :coolr

do as i did on Saturday when they held us on IPS
went back to my frame and pulled out mailsort,DSA and 2nd class
left all my large packets and 1 drop bag of packets

saw the manager at the itme i would have had to tie down and got told time & capacity so i did just that
walk took me 2.5 hours which meant me finishing just over my time
