Re: CWU London Division calls for national strike action
The union may have called the strikes off for talks and most were pissedoff about it, but remember it's still five weeks till chrismas we could still make the barstewards sh*t themselves with a few strikes before the big day.

It's got f**k all to do with guilt trips you came out and then you went back well done............if you don't want to come back out you don't have to simple!dvbuk55 wrote:Don't go piling on a guilt trip here, we came out and was told to go back as the interim deal was all that - well it wasn't, we knew it wasn't but the instruction stood. We aren't puppets or muppets to be manipulated at someone elses' whim, the divide and conquer scenario you paint is not of our making but of HQs - you will either be supported or not, and I guess not - but you don't just need to persuade us you need to persuade the PEC and the CWU. When asked we supported, the people who let you down weren't on the picket lines.Terry Hurlock wrote:If the rest of the country don't support London now you can forget after xmas as RM will have want they want a divide and conquer scenario and it will be game over.
Do you speak for the CWU outside London? as it's quite a sweeping statement to say we won't be supported by the rest of the country how do you personally know this? and please how can the divide and conquer scenario be of HQs making when it's RM who are clearly not adhering to the agreement.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

So smudger I take it you are very happy in your current position as a hard working opg, well as a cwu member in London I really don't think you understand the serious state of play we are heading for in the VERY near future in the job.smudger83 wrote:no mr hurlock i am not i am a hard working opg who prefers not go back on strike to support the london lotTerry Hurlock wrote:smudger83 wrote:am a bovvered![]()

Sometimes in life things happen that are sent to challenge you but i believe you are not up to it with this current dispute, with the expectation of the walk sequencing machines being rolled out into a network that will not cope due to the collapse in the good will that you need to survive.
Believe me this is not only a london thing ask those in the north they have had as many problems as us down south

Re: CWU London Division calls for national strike action
All off our office went out and we are distribution drivers. All of the problems seem to be on delivery and most of the local delivery offices in our area went in during the strike so why should we loose more money supporting them who worked? And they still come in early and use their cars, and yes they are CWU members.

Re: CWU London Division calls for national strike action
I've already mentioned on early post that i'll support all strike til new year, after no chance. Against my wishes but needs must with probably leaving middle of the year.
If i wasn't leaving, support the strikes, whether London or wee village in the highlands. RM isn't modernised its business, its feeding the fatcats bonuses at our exenspse. Next year will be worse, up and down the country. I predict a part-time workforce within the next 5 years. Unless your like me and leaving and need the dosh (and i feel guilty for scabbing) work, if wish to remain (this is whats happening) full-time, support the union and take the hit. This will be short term loss but a long term gain.
