Just pop it in 1 of the many wheelie bins or bottle bin (remember and stick a 739 through the letter box though lettin them know ) , but just make sure its not collection day
We were told ages ago by a manager that on no account did he want to see these BT items returned back to the office. When we asked for further instruction he simply said "you work it out"
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

I never doorstep, put in bins, sheds or anywhere that is not secure if it goes missing itmy fault so not taking the risk since RM would love to sack me as they have one of my colleagues and they followed the instructions on the item and it went missing.
Yes i know they are the rules no doorsteping but today i was given a writen warning not to bring them back to the office and to doorstep them .many of my delivery points have no safe place .i am trying to get this in writing from my DOM .we used to bring back to the office but i was told by my DOM as from yesterday BT had told Royalmail they were to be left if no answer this means doorstepping if no place to hide .i cant belive we are being told to do this .today i left a BT vision box on a doorstep becuase if i returned it to my office i would be taken down the conduct code .to round it all of my union rep also says this is what should be done.
We were told that BT needed them to be left as sometimes there would be an engineer booked to go round and install the home hubs etc and they needed them to be there ready. It was no good if the engineer turned up and the customer only had a p739
Why the engineer couldn't take the box I don't know..
They said BT had agreed to cover the losses of an that were stolen from the doorsteps..
YES i know this but no one at our office is to bring back these items they must be left maybe somone will tell me why 111
At our place we were told that we had to go out as many times as needed so they can be delivered, the late drivers were supposed to take them if we couldn't get rid of them.
That actually never happened as we did not have the time to f**k about with them and we told them so.
Now what happens is if we dont get rid, they are not scanned back in the office till the office is about to close.
The reason they are so hot on this is because RM have sucked up to BT with it.
BT are prepared to have a certain amount of them lost/nicked!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
Also, the managers were so scared of them coming back they asked us to knock on neighbours doors till we got rid of them, now baring in mind we are out doing them from 7-ish,we told them to f**k off as we aint interested in getting a hiding from some disgruntled neighbour!!

he's an idea let's spend all of our duty time trying to deliver a handful of parcels and cut of the rest. That's what I'd do if they are so desperate to get them delivered.
Life's only rosey if you make it that way...... There is life outside of Royal Mail you know!
