Re: D2D's agreement
great. would of been nice if the manager told me not to do the entire thing. he simply just said prep that frame with these D2D's.

Re: D2D's agreement
So have you got a really small walk or did you have just the 1 lot of D2D's?roughshootwood wrote:I had my 2nd day on the job today. Was asked to prep D2D's before I finished for the day. I ended up prepping the entire frame in about 20 minutes. Was it wrong to prep the entire frame? Or will it have done the postie I was shadowing a favour?
I'm starting to think I cocked up by doing the entire frame..

Re: D2D's agreement
And where did you get this agreement? Can you show us it?taxi4leighton wrote:sorry to disagree with all of you. but my D2D agreement states that all D2D items are meant to be delivered seperately, so how would you need time to prep something you are not supposed to prep in the first place ?.just take one out a day ,put at back of your hand of mail, and deliver the calls you go to,and claim for what you do. it should be at least 80% even on a quiet
day. SIMPLE

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: D2D's agreement
Well, we (me and the postie I was shadowing) had 4 bags. He said normally there's a bit more, just it's a light day or something.. I prepared the D2D's in my last half an hour when I returned. Obviously I screwed that bit up..anTi wrote:

Re: D2D's agreement
So you deliver your door to doors with your letters, together, one after the other, at the same time. . . how is that delivering them separately?taxi4leighton wrote:sorry to disagree with all of you. but my D2D agreement states that all D2D items are meant to be delivered seperately, so how would you need time to prep something you are not supposed to prep in the first place ?.just take one out a day ,put at back of your hand of mail, and deliver the calls you go to,and claim for what you do. it should be at least 80% even on a quiet

Some people call 'prepping' them putting the two smaller ones inside the larger one, something we aren't supposed to do. Personally I don't do that, but I do throw them up into my frame, and bundle them with the mail. I find it much easier that way, than delving around in my bag at every door.

Re: D2D's agreement
I think when it says deliver D2D items "seperately it means that you don't put them inside each other when delivering them through the letterbox!taxi4leighton wrote:sorry to disagree with all of you. but my D2D agreement states that all D2D items are meant to be delivered seperately, so how would you need time to prep something you are not supposed to prep in the first place ?.just take one out a day ,put at back of your hand of mail, and deliver the calls you go to,and claim for what you do. it should be at least 80% even on a quiet
