the truth is that it is not just Essex Amal who are having serious problems with Royal Mail it is the whole division and the National officers have been made fully aware of what is going on in the division.
Essex Amal will be asking for strike action to be reinstated locally but have also asked that the national executive when meeting tomorrow re instate the national strike action.
the reasons behind this are the continued unagreed absorbing , the continued executive action , the continued use of casuals before blue shirts and the fact that managers are going around telling people nothing has changed and offering vr to anyone they see.
i have not been on strike to put up with it nor should we nationally

Re: ROYAL MAIL RENEGE ON DEAL ALREADY
How strange that we all know, as union members, there is a new understanding but managers haven't yet been told, whether their noses are out of joint or not, EXACTLY WHAT THE INTERIM AGREEMENT IS - what's the hold up? It isn't stalling tactics by any slim chance?lovejoy wrote:Thats a branch not a Divisionlanesra123 wrote:ESSEX AMAL
It is going to take a while to get some of these things out. people need to realise that some of these managers were told they would never have to deal with the CWU again and have their noses out of joint now.
If your branch cannot get any joy then the IR framework should be used to get the Div Reps and if needs be HQ involved.

Re: ROYAL MAIL RENEGE ON DEAL ALREADY
It's pretty obvious now that this is not a few rogue managers in isolated D.Os.
Someone, probably Higson has made it clear to these donuts they have just to stall until the end of december.
The question is what do we do about it?

PEC MEETING : " OK so it's agreed, we'll give them another chance, Just one more chance mind you, cause if they don't stick to the agreement we'll be forced to meet again after christmas an vote on giving them another chance"
"shouldn't we re-instate the strike action"
"Ohh No, I think a jolly good stern 'one more chance' warning should do, we don't want to upset them now, do we?"

Had a bad feeling when they said no more strikes we can go back to talking, bad mistake to make the union should have kept up the pressure,RM was going to fold the press was so bad for them, the public view was turning and the truth was coming out about whats been happening so what did the union do, stop when thee kitchen was getting to hot
nothing new there then.
