Re: Motorola?
Have a look around your mail centres and ask yourself this question - after the I.A. where has all the mail gone? and the answer is it's being stored in the outhouses that R.M. have strategicly aquired around the country, when will C.W.U. H.Q. get a hearing at the high court to stop this action as Queens council have been working on it all week. They will be transporting strike breakers from your own buildings to work in all of the outhouses so maybe its time that pickets were sent to them to find out who the lowlifes are and making it known to your colleagues.

Anyone from the Bathgate area on here,PM me please.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: Motorola?

Post strike latest: Police watching 'flash point' mail site
Published Date: 29 October 2009
By Scott McAngus
POLICE are "keeping an eye" on a controversial Royal Mail site amid fears it could become a flash point for picketing postal workers during the three-day strike.
The company has taken over part of the old Motorola factory in Bathgate at the Pyramids Business Par
k to house extra casual staff to help with the Christmas mail rush.
But the Communications Workers Union (CWU) said it had received reports from residents in Livingston saying they had mail delivered from workers in civilian clothes yesterday morning.
The union say no postal workers were out delivering at that time as they were still sorting mail in the delivery office and have accused Royal Mail of using the temporary workers to clear up the backlog of mail caused by last week's strike.
Around 250 postal workers in delivery offices in West Lothian will stage a 24-hour walkout from 9pm tomorrow (Friday).
The union threatened to picket the site if the company used agency workers to do the work of striking posties, and its understood Royal Mail approached police with safety concerns.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police confirmed West Lothian officers were paying the site "passing attention".
A spokeswoman for Royal Mail denied the union's claim saying: "The outhouse is operating today but is dealing with delayed mail only.
"Staff there are not doing the work of the postmen and women on strike today and are dealing with return to sender mail today which has been delayed."
But Kenny Logan, CWU's area delivery representative for the Lothian and Borders, said: "That's nonsense. People were getting letters at 7am and it wasn't from postmen and women.
"We've had calls that there is staff coming from that building going out to deliver the mail. There is serious concern about this and we are seeking legal advice on the legalities of picketing this particular office.
"Staff at the site are only supposed to be there solely to sort mail and the Christmas rush hasn't even started yet.
"Why is the company using a building of that size? It suggests to me that they have planned for this strike to go ahead for a long time, hence the difficulty of reaching an agreement with management.
"If Royal Mail is using agency workers this way it could face fines of up to £5,000 for each worker."

Posties on the picket line at Bathgate's delivery office say Royal Mail are selling them short.
Date: 29 October 2009
By Scott McAngus
THE Royal Mail is taking over the former Motorola factory in Bathgate for use by casual workers, bringing threats from striking staff that they will picket the premises.
County postal workers say the Royal Mail will use "scab" labour at the site to clear backlogs as a three-day strike got underway today (Thursday).
Royal Mail insisted that the use of the Bathgate factory was part of an annual arrangement to cope with the Christmas rush, but said the centre would also be used to clear strike backlog if necessary.
The casual workers will be part of a 30,000-strong contingent recruited across the country to keep the mail moving in the run-up to Christmas. CWU's area processing representative Graham Steedman, warned that the factory would be picketed if the union suspected it was being used to divert work from plants hit by industrial action.
He added: "If they're moving our work from the Edinburgh Mail Centre that could escalate the official dispute.
"Obviously there would be potential legal challenges to the Royal Mail by the union if they're employing agency and temporary staff to do the work of striking workers."
The CWU and local postal workers are unhappy about the company's modernisation plans over pay and conditions.
Preparations at the building in the Pyramids business centre are understood to be well underway, although a Royal Mail spokeswoman could not confirm how many casual workers would be employed at the site or when they would start work.
She said: "The people who will be based at Bathgate are being taken on as part of our Christmas recruitment.
"We will use it also, because we're in an industrial action situation, to clear backlog if there is one, but there is nobody there doing the work of normal postmen who are on strike. This is something we do every year."
Around 250 staff in West Lothian took part in a 48-hour strike last week. One picketing worker at the Bathgate delivery office said: "At this delivery site all they've done is extended our indoor and outdoor work.
"We are striking about Royal Mail's modernisation plans because there is not one bit of it in here."

Re: Motorola?
one of the linos at G M C tonight was asked 'where did all the mail from yesterday go as it doesnt seem to be here?' , his answer unashamedly was 'oh it all went through to Bathgate.' , this quite clearly proves to me that it isnt just backlog stuff they're working on through there, it's LIVE MAIL too.
