Re: Duty finishes at the last delivery point?
in our office including myself a few of us have spat our dummies out and now peddle back to the office taking upto 20mins i then sign off and that is when your duty should finish.
in my opinion if you pouch of then its still job and knock which they say has gone so if i cant finish at my last letter then they can give me the time to travel back to my office.
also can i just point out if you lapse on any given day then your delivery including lapsing should not go over 3.5 hours

i do that too ,but its a pretty crap system from a customers point of view,most have to wait at least two days to get their stuff and the amount of customers that come into the office thinking 48 hours means 8 o'clock the next morning is unbelievable.Plus are pouch boxes safe overnight if the scum bags realise we are leaving stuff in them they would soon get bust into every night But who cares Royal Mail don't so neither do i :mfoldsposti wrote:Hi i'm FT our office you leave anything that is undelivered in the pouch boxes and the van drivers pick them up next day when they go to fill your boxes thats why our notice left we put on 48hrs for collection, only thing is i'm wary of leaving them in on a saturday but then again its not my problem :cfo :cfo :cfo

'Thousands of letters' stolen in post box raids http://www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/pal ... ticle.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thousands of letters have gone missing across Croydon and Sutton in the past few weeks after around 40 postal pouch boxes were broken open by thieves.
The boxes, which are a common sight on streets throughout the area, are used by Royal Mail staff to store postbags while they are out on other deliveries.
