I had the same trouble at School. I'm ambidextrous. Although I find it easier to do some things left handed, and others right handed. At School, that was frowned upon. And I was forced to do everything right handed. Thankfully, they're more enlightened nowadays. And let Children use whichever hand is easiest. Don't you think it's about time, that adults were treated the same?

The problem is the frames are set up for right handed people, the way they run is left to right and the whole frame would have to be spun around and work from right to left and that would then make it difficult for righties to prep etc.

So should lefties have a different prep rate to righties...seems only fair.

One thing i have noticed though is when bagging up the walk, right handed people have to reach over themselves. Lefties dont have this problem.

Or just do it in reverse start in the bottom left and work up top the top right hand Corner!.

This wouldnt work...the walk wouldnt run in order.

I've heard of perp rates based on the entire prep (i.e. all letters, flats, packets, redirections, deads, bundle and backup and pouch weighing) being 12 items per minute average.

It's much more difficult than it sounds, especially on some walks/frames.

Also remember the figure of 12 does not take into account walking to the IPS, Flats and DB Frames, and queueing for Specials, or taking anything to the Callers Office.

there is no f ing prep rate. this is 2009, not 1700. There is no walk speed. There is no walk absorbing rules. You work to the best of your ability that day. 8 hours pay for an 8 hour day. NO MORE. We are not machines, we are human beings, and the last time I checked, we have rights. Crozier might be Thatchers love child, but he won't defeat us like she defeated the miners. If they do, I've got it made. I'm naturally Ambidextrous (runs in the Family), rather than learning to do things right handed.
