Re: WHY ARE THE REST STILL WORKING
But why are you taking it out on other workers - People don't feel secure enough for Wild Cat (unofficial IA) action so they have to go through the correct procedure, there is no point taking it out on those who are trying to get IA, your more likely to piss them off and weaken the action than make it stronger. Don't make RMs job easier by seeing divisions where there is none. Aim your anger at were it belongs (CWU or RM take your pick) not at those who are trying to show solidarity.upmyroad wrote:LOL. Re: WHY ARE THE REST STILL WORKING
Look we dont always choose the ground that we fight on , the fact is that London have taken 4 days offical action already because we are under attack as we kept the unions policy on no savings.
Royal Mail have taken executive action in London of over 45 differnt offices in London massive life changing things which include cuts of over 3rd of the workforce , the removal of improve attendances , complusory transfers , cuts in earnings and the removal of full time jobs. We also know they want to remove your monthly bonus and no longer pay for change.
Every office in London is under attack with people being taken off pay for doing the job properly.
So do we fight back or do we back down and wait for the calvery to wait , whilst there are many offices around the country requesting ballots it is still less than half of the country. The national ballot is still some weeks away , so the question is would no action been seen as a sign of weakness or strength. We believe that Royal Mail will just introduce more and more revisions and outdoor absorbtion.
Sometimes areas have to stand up and be counted London have a proud track record for defending terms and conditions and we have a loyal membership who will not support us not doing anything when they are under attack. Your office may be further down the road from being attacked but as sure as night follows day it will be attacked and if you can survive on a 20 hour contract then be my guest and come to work. But if you want a full time job with good terms and conditions then you have to support the fight as there are no other options.

Re: WHY ARE THE REST STILL WORKING
Just remember we striked we went out we've shown we wanted to fight. 1 in 10 of us. The union have let the other's carry on working. there's still no sign of when if at all the rest will be joining us. don't talk of solidarity when it's us not you that's striking. This union is now proving beyond any doubt that it is incompetent and unfit to lead. we've been going out since the end of june. how long does the union think they can only rely on 10% of it's memebers to carry on alone.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:But why are you taking it out on other workers - People don't feel secure enough for Wild Cat (unofficial IA) action so they have to go through the correct procedure, there is no point taking it out on those who are trying to get IA, your more likely to piss them off and weaken the action than make it stronger. You forget I am suporting the strike. But please dont expect me and other's not to ask the question. Where is everyone else. Re: WHY ARE THE REST STILL WORKING
I fully support London and Scotland and all the other offices that have voted for IA. My office has not been balloted yet, but if we were to take IA, as you seem to demand in your posts, it would be classed an UNOFFICIAL IA, with all the associated problems that come with 'illegal' action.upmyroad wrote:

Similarly, we in the parts of the country that have already suffered RM's attacks could just as easily ask where was London when we were under attack? Unfortunately, until it directly affects people, they don't want to know. Who is at fault?

Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

House in order, yeah, agree but lets not fight each other, we're all in the same boat (or should I say we soon will be) we MUST all stand as one unit.upmyroad wrote:You forget I am suporting the strike. Totally agree with your_postie
For Christ's sake lets not argueing amongst ourselves! Remember, "United we stand, divided we fall".
Mega Support for all the lads already out on strike
Hopefully we'll alll be out as soon as possible. Large cities have always had more clout in these things over smaller towns/villages. I've worked in DOs with only 15 posties how can they compare with a big office with several Hundred posties?
Any CWU Reps out there? Get your Area Reps and Big Wigs to view this site. Perhaps it might give them a better feeling for what's going on around the country! It's always easy to blame someone else but there IS a lot of bad feeling out there and it's not all aimed at the Management!!
If you're striking don't dispare we DO support you... Good Luck & Cheers

We have no alternative but to be patient. Even if London were the only one's still battling against the tyranny that is RM come Christmas, I would never roll over for Crozier. Never.upmyroad wrote:LOL. Yea right. we'll piss money away and do 2 day's work in 1 while you lot sit tight.your_postie wrote:It all takes time. We're onboard as of next week... sit tight!
If I had 2 days work to take out in 1, I'd never be able to complete. That, to me, is the perfect working day! :cfo

Re: WHY ARE THE REST STILL WORKING
We are currently preparing to ballot locally on 4th August after changes were implemented by executive action, there is widespread support for strike action throughout the mail centre and delivery office so no doubt we will be with London soon.

I agree 100%. we need to all stand and all strike togetther. Not just the 10% that are striking now. It's the union that's not up to scratch not us.your_postie wrote:House in order, yeah, agree but lets not fight each other, we're all in the same boat (or should I say we soon will be) we MUST all stand as one unit.upmyroad wrote:You forget I am suporting the strike.
