Always the same protect the managers at any cost , ignore all the evidence, witnesses, if the manager said it happen nothing else matters absolute disgrace, well done that chairman only time you will get any justice. RM internal procedures waste of time.

The truth regarding RM disciplinary procedures is being show for what it is. Most posties have no chance when it comes to internal appeals, especially when it is against a manager, you have to have your day at an employment tribunal to get justice with this company. This is great news and as made my day

But now another precedence has been set, and any future posties who find themselves appearing before a RM internal appeal for discipline charges when it is against a RM manager, could in theory quite possibly make particular reference to this judgement where not enough evidence is attached to witness statements supporting the postie and corroborating the facts as they happened, and also to failing to test the relaibility of a witness who's statements where to say the least inconsistent or challenged those who had 'selective memory'.

During the 'procedural fairness' process, RM should have gotten all the facts, so in this situation they should pay the compensation.

It did not take a lot of phoning round the west of scotland to find posties who had crossed Mr Goldies path.
Useless t*****. Complete w*****.M*****f*****.One mild mannered postie described him as a waste of space.

Always wondered what these work place Jolly's do = Manager and Employees get togethers literally and the employer always comes behind the manager's i shall not take part in any fraternisation with management!.

Probably quite deliberate provocation - Prior to Privatization , we'd a Area Manager that said " I love a Driver to knock me out at a disciplinary hearing as I'll be on the floor pointing up - You're sacked " - childish ? - Yes ! but there was a lot of that about at the time . The Classic one was " Are you threatening me " so they could run back and tell tales .

It's just as aggressive as the bolshy union rep on the lookout for the slightest thing , industrial " politics " goes in circles . Another tactic was following people to see if they drank too much after finishing shifts or follow the rep in case in he popped in for a quick pint on release .

Eventually we got " better " Senior Managers and these Empire Builders of the worst kind and their lackies were paid up , the idiots had stopped being useful .

I'm afraid I can't see that happening with RM , it's more like something out of " Downfall " without the petrol , cyanide tablets and revolvers at 148 Old St .
