get your rep to register a disagreement and push for another ballot. Let summer working in and , as anyone who's worked here for any length of time will tell you, it will never go back to normal. Not even after the "light" summer period is over.

Never known RM change anything. you get revisions with the promise of adjusting after 6 weeks then thats the end of it. The only way you will change it is to book everyday......But alas our posties just move a bit faster and they know this will happen.

Union rep has put in a disagreement but dum ain't listening just wants to do it anyway. They are using figures from 2 years ago whenever we had a particulary light month, last year figures were a lot higher and this year they have been through the roof it's a good job that mails down :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana :nana

sounds like they are using the up coming I.A as a excuse to force changes in (exec action) contact your rep make sure he/shes aware whats going on
if they force it in you should get a area rep to ask HQ to ballot the members in your office for IA

why !!!!
didnt he consult with the members
from personal experience being a rep is a hard thankless task but you gotta try to take the guys with you or you are really asking for trouble
if reps no good then get somebody better to stand against him
p.s you can never please everybody all of the time and you be mad to try but you gotta have the majority of the guys behind u or yah fecked

He did consult with the members, but he told us we had no choice as the vans would be arriving later so we might as well vote to move from 05.00 to 06.30. Those with no life outside of work or drunks who can't get up of a morning voted to change. Saturdays is worse as people like to spend time with their families or playing and watching sport. My sick record is good, so if my team plays on Saturday, I'll be there and I'm not the only one. There was an article in the last Courier saying how pleased everyone was with the late starts. They never gave the rest of us a right to reply. The then DOM got his brownie points and is now a cluster manager. That was last October and the vans are arriving at the same time they always did. All the mail is in for 04.30 and we have staff coming in on O/T from 04.30 so there is work to do. We were conned, don't fall for it yourselves.

then stop even talking to him and continue to attend work at your contracted hours . . . refuse to speak on any matter until he follows the agreed framework then make sure your local union office applies for a ballot for industrial action up to and including strike action . . . . . it's this kind of bullying that we must stop, and we can if we only stick together :Applause

Forced myself to read the dum's six o'clock starts proposals the other day (which our union guys are refusing to discuss, good on ya!) noticed he wants 05:30 starts on saturday, must ask him if the lorry driver has a lead sole on his right boot for that one day and diplomatic immunity from speeding!

Although I'm not the rep in my office (don't actually have one since I stood down some time back) I've lodge a disagreement over the new times on behalf of the office.

The dum told me that even if gets to stage 3 he's still going to implement it anyway :no no ! He's now said he's going to print out the new 318's get me to go over them for him - as if I'm likely to do that :so there :dance

The guys and gals are now looking to me to "lead" them through the next few weeks - I have a strange feeling that I might end up being rep again  :pray

totally agree - trouble is: been there, seen it, done it, got the book etc.

Gave up for personal reasons and felt I didn't have the support of the staff.

But you never know...

Very rarely do we get the support of the staff (maybe a few) it is the most thankless job I know been through lots of tough times where beachy head looked very inviting but at the end of the day I asked myself a question do I want to work in an office with no rep and the answer was NEVER! even if it is me!!
