I'm not short either, feel sorry for any shorter people the seatbelt would be covering there eyes. 3 out of 5 people in my section who drive Combos and have all had back operations within the past year :hmmmm
Well my Combo also has height adjustable seatbelts ...... i must have the GT version ..... :Very Happy :Very Happy

Well i had a really good look today and even washed the bugger, i must be mad :left: Anyway there is one large single metal bar that runs along the whole front of the seat which simpy allows the seat to slide back and forth.

That's what my passenger seat has, guess i just got lucky !
As for backache, i found the Escort van the worst. The van was just too close to the ground and i'm glad it's gone !

In all honesty I think I like the Connect's seating position - but I can't get 5Live on the radio, so I won't drive 'em ( usually it's only for SA collections, but at the moment I'm dumped in a hybrid duty, so have less than an hour on packets ), the Combos overall aren't bad ( their big plus - their thrashability - has been blunted since the trackers were bolted on )......one van I refuse to go near though are the Fiat Ducatos. I've driven one for a couple of miles and loathed it.....all the ergonomics are out of synch

I really cant say ive noticed any difference with town and country driving which i do. Mind you i never get near the 70mph limiter, i normally cruise up to 50 mph max :left: But as far as pulling through the gears i think they go really well for a van as i can even overtake stuff  In the old Escort van that was impossible due to a MASSIVE flat spot

It's a long shot, I know. But does it have a switch on the corner like this one (from my old Mondeo):

Nope its got nothing like that. To be honest (and i get the odd back prob) i find the vans seat ok really. In my own car ive raised the seat a bit but the even the Combo is nothing as bad as my girlfriends Mini (new style) as the seats bend you almost in two  Ouch !!

My backs gone a few times and my physio recommended I got a lumbar roll. I couldn't seem to get one that was just right so I made my own. I'm convinced it keeps me off the sick.
