As told to us today in WTLL, to gain a tick you have to deliver a row of whichever walk is being absorbed, or you can come in on your day off and do your whole duty for free t gain 4 ticks at once :left: The union rep in our office has been instructed not to talk to RM by the union so is just sitting back whilst these changes are forced in.
FFS what are we paying our union fees for. CWU get off your @rses and do what we pay you for................to protect us. By the way were are the legal people. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
The CWU is us , do what we've done in london ask for a ballot and join us on the picket line

To be fair it was our reps day off on Tuesday and he went f****n mental on Weds when he heard about the ticks! So we are not doing it yet, it will be discussed again this Tues. I agree we should be standing together as 'a union' on strike, not a few offices here and there. But where is the leadership?

OK we 'discussed' it in this weeks wtl where the manager basically said
if we don't agree to the vote he will just do it anyway, (obviously looking
forward to his up to £4K bonus for making savings). So over half the
office voted it in and we are now screwed. It makes me sick we were a
100% all out office in the last big strike :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Our rep just seems to have given up saying that the time is there for us
to do the extra work which makes it difficult to refuse, he would have rather
negotiated a better outcome but he keeps saying the union won't let him talk
to the dom, I thought it was them not talking to us?!

I was obviously a 'no' voter but I just think what's the point in fighting now,
my own colleagues and rep have sold out or are too scared of losing their jobs.
So if it comes to it I can't see my office voting for a strike anymore :cry

And exactly what do they propose to do if you don't get the ticks? and what about part-timers?

Do your job properly and cut off if you dont have time to absorb the extra work or absorbing takes you past your time. No brainer.

I am sure my office would NOT vote to strike except in exceptional circumstances. They complain about the changes but don't see and are not interested in, the bigger picture. The union are ineffective because the members are so inactive and consequently management does what it wants. Our union reps and managers apparently go to the pub together.

Right I am now totally convinced, so I am on holiday for two weeks, does that mean if I go in for the 10 days I'll get 40 ticks and will then be saved and go to heaven - come to think of it, maybe ticks aren't the answer - I'm pretty sure we could come up with a more motivational rewards - I certainly could think of a couple. :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle
