Aye--and what about tying up time for left handed folks?
I am fast at prepping up.Cough, cough, but being a leftie pulling out with the wrong hand as it were, slows me down, would this be covered under D.D.A? I often feel Manageres think i am slowing down deliberatly at that point .
Has your frame been adapted for a left handed user stokesy - one of our guys, who was left handed, suffered chronic pain and went off sick repeatedly and it was recommended that he should have a left handed frame, which RM didn't institute and he had to eventually have time off again and when taken on a 3rd stage ripped the sh*t out of them because he had the letter stating he should have had his frame adapted.
:nana No, we were told this would make it difficult for reliefs etc, which I quite understand,And really, I am very fast at prepping (My one good point although I did have to have an operation on my wrist for rep. strain injury) and wonder if this could be the cause---just the tying up that's the problem, which takes us back to 'how long for prep? There are far too many variables to say it MUST be done in such and such a time-----especially when you get say those paper thin addressed
flyers that have to be peeled of one another etc,and think of all the other Difficult" mail, argh.,

We had this problem, and made RM have 2 frames, which is ok if you've got the room, which the way mail is going down and with us being lazy, then the deliveries they cut should give you pare room :(

One of my major bones of contention with being able to complete my delivery is according to my 318, prep time should total 2 hrs and ips 1 and a quarter hrs.If this was addhered to I would be able to complete most days, but the supervisers are forever extending the ips because they can't manage properly.Wich results in a failure to complete. :arrrghhh
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

Remember you are not a robot, there is no prep times. Preps take as long as they take. If volumes of mail are exesive and your at your frame for 3 hours prepping which includes your DBF, then doing your kill offs takes 15 minutes and your redirections take 20 minutes (not forgetting to put every letter in the official redirection bag) then taking any call and collects to the callers office and waiting around to collect any priority services, then have your 40 minute meal relief and then the 1 hour 30 minute sorting which includes the missorts, your looking at 5 hours 45 minutes, add that to your 3 hours 30 minutes delivery plus the time getting to and from your delivery (by bike) everybody should be earning protraction every day, if not your walks are to easy or your carving the job up and I hope you people are the first to go. :Very Happy

Brilliant and you live in the same world as me. One problem though, this is RM we are talking about. The first to go though will be people like you and me. You see with thoughts like that you are dangerous to them.

I am always in the office being told off for not completing, they do not see what the problem is, except of course its me in their eyes.

I do not expect to last much longer unless I start coming in early, using my car and completing without claiming past my delivery span.

And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one
