Re: Vertical frames and absorption shambles.
Why would you want to help out a company thats looking to get rid of jobs and increase workload for the sake of an hours otime

Re: Vertical frames and absorption shambles.
Nobody wants to 'help out' unfortunately some people need a wage to survive and RM knows that. Why do you think they only offer P/T and Angard jobs?
All this talk of pilots, change, losses etc is nothing more than conditioning employees into accepting poorer working conditions and more profits.
Never mind the shoddy service we now provide.

Been on the same duty over 6 years now. The changes came in, and it now takes an extra 20 minutes, just to get out the door. How is that efficient?

Why does it take you an extra 20 minutes?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Surely when you get used to it it will take the same time, just a guess we haven't been unfortunate enough to have ours changed yet I suppose at least the 1st and last section will be the same as before

I'm really enjoying the fact I can't sit down to prep the bottom row now. Is this part of the much-heralded efforts to reduce fatigue?

For Me it’s because of going from single slot to double and having to poke around the frame to take D2Ds with letters. Oh and the 100+ housed that were added

It still takes longer to tie off a double slotted frame than a single slotted frame though. Always has since the so called 'warm calling' of households bollocks was introduced.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025, 16:44Most offices have had majority double slotted frames for yearsscoobydo79 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025, 15:20For Me it’s because of going from single slot to double and having to poke around the frame to take D2Ds with letters. Re: Vertical frames and absorption shambles.
Have they? The best thing I’ve ever seen in the job was RM 2000 single slot frames. Throw the letters in take back out with D2Ds and go. Couldn’t be easier.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025, 16:44Most offices have had majority double slotted frames for yearsscoobydo79 wrote: ↑19 Aug 2025, 15:20For Me it’s because of going from single slot to double and having to poke around the frame to take D2Ds with letters. When the RM2000 frames were introduced the first delivery was just two hours long!scoobydo79 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025, 17:55Have they? The most we have in our office is six columns to a frame (ignoring a firms duty). At 80 DPs per column, that means a maximum total of 480 single slots. There are very few walks that short these days.
