It's a resign if a third of the walks are changed.
So if all walks have been changed by adding absorption loops? That makes a resign a dead cert?

Wonder why they keep kicking it down the road at our place.
Same at our place, the manager can't be arsed, the ones that try to suggest we have one are ignored probably due to being in a minority because the most senior aren't bothered as they know they'll keep their nice duties plus we've got a few that have ended up left on nicer duties that don't want to be moved off them, I'll add to that the ones on those nicer duties only got on them as they were made part time meaning senior posties were kicked off them, they've since left and the part timers on them get early prep/ips every day so in effect nothing has been saved.

I've been on my current walk for 11 years, we've had extra added to it in that time, no repick. They no repicks cause chaos, so don't have them.

All the vacant duties are being filled by the latest batch of new starters (part time of course). And now we have very few reserves left. Should keep things interesting.

Not 100% so don't quote me but it's usually to do with a 'revision' and not just adding bits here and there.
If in doubt contact area/div rep or cwu hq.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

What about the guys who haven’t been on same walk for 11 years and are constantly being moved?

That's something I don't understand in our office. A lot of the "ring-fenced" part-time duties that people well below me picked on the seniority list are actually full-time duties because part-timers are always in early prepping/doing IPS anyway. If I had known that years ago I would have picked a part-time duty!!
