No it doesn't. If you are a very hard worker, you end up doing the work of whoever was on the duty the day before on top of your own work. This is more wear and tear, plus more organisational work on the more productive worker for no reward. There is every reason to complain about this situation.

Says who that you are a hard worker?
Are you a hard worker because you come in before your start time, don't take your meal breaks, speed in the van and doorstep all your packets and all the other various shortcuts that " hard workers" do?

Just come in, do your job and work to your time. If you have time to complete even with yesterdays mail then so be it.
I think the runners should find more loops waiting for them if they come back early. If they came in early for free, tough. They should still have extra loops waiting for them or other indoor work if mail is cleared.

Just work all your rest days and never have a holiday. Problem solved.

We've certainly changed in our office ,the vans are queuing up to unload their cut offs on the bay another 10 mins less delivery and ive never seen so many tracked items scanned unable to deliver,this in itself will cause contracts to be cancelled,these doughnuts at the top are not just killing letters they are killing the parcel contracts the ones they want to keep you couldn't make it up,anyway change is good there is no more stress and i even think the doms are slowly getting it,anyway another less walking easy day tomorrow,im embracing change

Its hard for people in this company a long time as we have always had a pride in our work and completing and delivering everything everyday was part of the pride, i am afraid this bunch could care less about that but are quite happy for it to continue that way with no consequence for them. The moral high ground doesn't always win a fight but it allows the little people to feel better within themselves which can only be good.

If there are no consequences for the COMs to get everything delivered, what's the point of having them?? Where is the incentive for providing a quality service? They are well paid for their job.

It won't be long before the business sees this

We haven't had any cover on our days off for 2 years and we have people complaining that the cover posties hasn't quite completed for them.

So we have to lug around 2 days mail at least once a week whilst others don't. What is going on!

Use a trolley or just break the loops down mate. You seem really troubled by this no cover on your day off thing . . . try not to let it stress you so much.
