Good for you. Yes it does gall on me that that smug prick is winning but he doesn’t have anything to lose. We do. That is why he always had the advantage really. I hope I’m wrong, but I can’t see him ever backing down, so I’m jumping out of the fight now rather than lose more money than I have already.

Full respect for everyone continuing the fight, but I just don’t see this one going any other way unfortunately.

For me the future is elsewhere and that day is getting closer. For you guys and girls, I have no idea. I have been around a while and the same voices all the time say hit them at christmas and we win, anything else is pointless as they won't care. Well, here we are, christmas and they don't care. The shareholders are getting nothing this year. All we get from the union is we have a vision, we can grow the business. Well, I'm sorry, the union that represent us are not the employer, they do not have to take a blind bit of notice of the union. All the time I am in the job I will support the strikes and all of you, I will still support you when I am gone. My honest opinion is, this one is lost. I have never known a CEO take his toys home and the toxbox and refuse to even talk, to refuse to budge when he is facing catastrophe. Losing cusomers, losing business, I hate to think what the compensation bill will cost for all this and there will only be one group of people paying for it, us.

If the strikes stop then Royal Mail win, that's what they're banking on.

If they see the strikes carrying on into the new year with no sign of them breaking I'm absolutely certain that they'll fold and come to some sort of agreement, no business can run with 110,000 of it's workforce consistently not in work.

I think I’ll be doing the same as I’m hoping to leave end of April so on a personal level I can’t afford to loose any more money when I’m not fighting for anything anymore. Good luck to everyone else and their own personal choices. I’ve been in this situation before with a previous job. Ended up getting TUPE’d and company got all its own way anyway. This feels exactly the same.

With regards to breaking the picket line. I'd sooner eat out of bins and fall behind on my mortgage than give in to these inbred shareholder twats.

If it means leaving the car on my drive and walking to work I'll do it. Cancelling phone I'll do it. Eating gruel I'd do it.

Quite a few customers on collections (although on our side) are now saying they'll be switching if it carries on in January, RM's business model is going down the drain so stay strong bothers and sisters.

Yes but they don’t care about the business model. They aren’t worried about the mail sitting backlogged in car parks, during the busiest time of the year. They are losing as much money now as they ever will but refuse to even talk with the union.

The union got backed into a corner they thought they were dealing with normal people ,people who care about tge company or profits but these want for some insane reason want to break the company. The rolling strikes are the way to go but shoddy housekeeping (even now ) prevents that .Best way is fir all full timers to not do a minutes overtime quiet quitting as no one no matter what can go on losing money .
