Simon knows it would only take a few concessions on their side for this to all be over. (We have made enough our side seeing as we started this as a no strings pay deal) He could end this today and we could all get on with delivering Christmas and delivery the changes the business needs. So why the silent treatment Simon?

They were concessions to the membership not RM. The business said no pay without change from day one.

He has a go at dave for false allegations stating the later start times, DW saying 3 hrs later is not false even in this doc it has them clearly stated that there are 3hr later then the last best offer it was changed a bit but still up to 3 hrs later - Simon sounds like his been very pedantic on very much everything.

Time to ramp up these strikes. Thompson is as bad at his job as Ward and Pullinger are at theirs.

Until Thompson decides to get realistic about his "best and final" offer of a massive real terms pay cut, I will provide him with a massive real terms effort cut. Less money buys less work done.

Tell him to shove it ,all out wednesday ,thursday,i dont know who he is paying to mitigate the strikes but he needs to get his money back,our mail centre is rammed,they will soon be hiring marquees to store the parcels as for mail less said about that the better but im sure the public would like to know nhs letters,bank cards,birthday cards ,important documents are now spending weeks under frames,was told today to leave all mail again and just take tracked,roll on the xmas cards next week the public may receive them by next xmas,Thompson needs sacking before he costs lives,he is already breaking the law and uso,lets hope the board members are held accountable too for the claims and chaos that is going to happen in the next month.As for people going back in i work in a large mail centre with 100's of employees and not 1 postie has crossed the line so don't believe his propaganda.

One thing we all have to admit. This Thompson geezer is one brave dude. I would be petrified if a large number of people had such strong negative feelings towards me. He must have security around him most of the time I would have thought. Sorry thinking out loud

Working for Royal Mail isn't going to be worth it on those terms, Thompson. Other businesses are coming to their senses and paying 10%+ pay rises.

Good luck employing tens of thousands of people on lower wages with terrible terms and conditions.

They will have problems. Royal Mail could get staff as it paid enough to entice people to work for them.

If they go ahead with the new contracts then they will really struggle to recruit. You will get paid more for delivering groceries for Tesco and that is much easier than walking the streets for five hours.

Royal Mail only take on people part time to so that’s another disadvantage for them as well as not being appealing to working parents who want to work in school hours.
