Keep calm and carry on. The strikes are still on and it's not even hit the peak season for another couple of weeks.

If nothing has been resolved, then the ballot is still live and strikes continue. Watched the live meeting earlier, and I think everyone was in the same boat thinking wtf are union playing at.

The business found a crack and if the union taken it to court we probably would of lost that fight and on top of the live ballot to strike. I like many others will fight for another day, unless a deal is found soon.

I’m sorry the union shouldn’t be allowing Royal Mail to find a crack, this isn’t the first time , are their legal team not up to the job ? Something needs looking at , we can’t just ignore it and move on.

This happens time and time again with Royal mail strikes,you would of thought they would have learnt lessons from previous strikes,maybe they should employ some extra staff to get it right I'd pay an extra £1 a week to have a competent union,why does this never happen to the RMT probably pay £5.40 a week and employ competent staff and lawyers.

Wow, just wow. So much negativity, against the one body of people attempting to stand between us and gig economy conditions.

The Union haven't cocked up, they've erred on the side of caution to save the bigger picture. If they'd gone all Billy Big Bollocks, stood up to RM's legal threat and then been served an interim injunction on all strike action between now and Xmas... then I could understand this baying for CWU blood.

I think people were starting to look for anything to blame and criticise the Union because they were losing the stomach to fight. When they put their crosses in the yes box, many didn't envisage they were entering a long and turbulent battle. The first few strike days were exciting on the picket or an excuse to get on the pub all day, but now RM are digging in, arses are beginning to twitch.

People are losing sight of the real enemy, RM who are fighting dirty and using everything they can to prolong this rather than look after their employees and give them a fair deal. Yesterday's announcement has given their lack of bottle the perfect excuse to not have to lose any more wages and cross the picket lines....oh well, if the Union can't get it right every time we might as well throw a hissy fit and give in.

We've lost a battle, not the war. Some of you need to take a long hard look at yourselves and the situation. Like it or not, our Union is the only throw of dice we have.

Stop the infighting, get behind them and if we're gonna go down, at least let's go down fighting and not like a bunch of dumb kids fighting amongst ourselves.

OK to me the reduction in OT, over the whole workforce wa a ploy by royal mail to divide and conquer, workers on lesser contracts having no chance of a little OT, to get them by with the then now cancelled rolling strikes approaching , and the RM hierarchy would have been gloating on the maybe PT ers . Drifting slowly back with no option at this time off year, a cruel ploy by ST and Co. So maybe the error of the CWU IS A BLESSING IN DIGUISE. Keep the FAITH.

A fair few folk (not just part-timers) were beginning to gripe about the number of strike days. A respite for 10 days will be no bad thing for them, but we'll still be striking as Christmas pressure really begins to kick in.

No it hasn’t the strike days have made RM to impose the OT ban
in less than a week it’s caused backlogs and mail being delivered every 2 days in some places

Don't know where you live but getting mail every 2days is a godsend some places are lucky to get it delivered once a week ffs. an that was before strikes only have to read the posts on here to realise that.
