Thank you postie2007 for confirming the figure and disappointed that Duran had basically in the previous called me a liar. Perhaps he is now man enough to apologise.

For info I was in Addplan for a few years not sure that affect this pension but it might.

Also due to inflation they are doing some kind of special enhancement for everybody until December 31st this year.

Still happy to provide the figures to anybody who would like them
Addplan was only for the final salary element(up to 2008) of NRA60 benefits and so won't increase NRA65 benefits.

The 'special enhancement' is an interesting one and would definitely benefit anyone thinking of taking their benefits early, up to 31st December 2022. Something I personally would normally suggest not doing.

The pension enhancement is very interesting.
A manager friend had informed me that when he got his VR figures along with the intention of also hitting his NRA60 he also said that there was an enhancement which he couldn’t turn down.

So this is my RMPP portion of my NRA 65.

My RMSPS pension was valued at 24% of my RMPP pension so I'm possibly going to have another lump sum of about £7400 and another smaller monthly pension. Is that right Robert ?

If the paperwork ever arrives from Capita....lol

Inflation was nowhere near as high in November 2021.

It would be interesting to know how much they've reduced the reduction by! :hmmmm

In terms of time in the scheme, then the RMSPS element relates to 2010-2012(25%) and the RMPP is 2012-2018(75%) plus the DBCBS.

With inflation having a greater monetary effect on RMPP benefits, I can understand why it might be a little more than 75% of total NRA65 value.

So anyone applying after the uplift date ceases on 31st December potentially looses out? :no no

Potentially yes. Which wouldn't be fair if inflation is still as high as it currently is!
Maybe there will be an extension? :hmmmm

There are 3 CWU trustees of the RMPP: Phil Browne, Lionel Sampson and Paul Kennedy.

You could argue that those that have already taken their pensions are going to be disadvantaged just as much as those who do so after 31st December 2022. Providing a 'window of opportunity' for a fairly small number of members, isn't really fair to the majority!

But surely the whole point of this forum is communication..
How many people on this forum & heard of by third parties have benefited from YOUR knowledge to enhance their pensions.. :thumbup :thumbup
I am really disappointed that this valuable subject is supported by half a dozen well meaning individuals to keep us all who on this site benefit from informed.
Rant over :d'oh!
