What about the stand in managers that haven’t been made substantial & are still CWU grade?

Pretty sure our ‘DOM’ falls into this catagory - he was a postman at a nearby office not so long ago
“Shorts,in this weather?!”

“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”

“What’s she been ordering now?”

What about keyholders ? Who opens the office up the managers or PHG etc

If the managers are the keyholders does that mean the offices won't be opened up and we'll be stood outside. :hmmmm

Depending on the size of the office I would imagine.

With respect, all of these PIC questions (from everyone) if the cruds do walk it's for 1 day, are we saying now posties need someone to tell them how to work?
Not at all.
Member of the public, police, fire brigade etc any of them turn up and ask to see who is in charge - who is it then?
There will be plans in place according to Si-Why worry anyway?
I'm not worried in the slightest, not my fight. Just a casual interest in how this will pan out and the legal ins/outs of having 100's of people in a building with no one in charge. Honest :)
I'm not worried about this either, but I've got a quarry and a steel works on my round and at the main gate there is
a board which displays on a daily basis who the 'Person In Charge' or 'Manager In Charge' is by name, which demonstrates
a degree of professionalism. They've also got proper signs displaying PPE requirements etc. at the gatehouse. At our depot
the gates are knackered, homemade signs printed off by DOM Support in poly pockets that have got water damaged
and are illegible or ripped or irrelevant, York's that must have a life of their own at night because they end up in places
in the yard where surely a postie wouldn't put them? The whole place just looks like 'We can't be arsed' and it starts at the top.

You can spend half an hour asking different lino's (COM's/DCOM's/baby COM's?) in our office who's in charge today and they've no idea.

Sorry went off on a bit of a tangent......
