Do managers get a stage warning??? My manager is off for God knows how long because he had a stroke...I myself was off for 3 months for having a hip replacement ( work related) and was hit with a stage warning.....this needs to be addressed because some managers will give a warning and yet others will just let it lay ......I should know been in the job 34 years

And Simon wonders why postman play the system. It's a system they've created. All absences are genuine='all stages are issued'

Thing is our CEO is guilty of far more than a few day's on the sick but a total dereliction of duty in his past employment!

Well you know what to do in the future. Factor in 2, 5day and 1, 3 day sick,in with your leave. Giving you 9 Weeks leave plus bank holidays without triggering a review.

Every time you come back from a sick, make a point of walking past your gaffer, and say alright boss,with a smile on your face.Let him know he's done you a favour.

You do realise because of the systemic abuse of the sick pay policy, Royal Mail now intends removing that contractual right with the current pay rise proposals?
