4 hrs45 at ours.
Today, Saturday, I was out at 9.00 & back at 2.30. If yours is 4hrs 45 you need a revision
4hrs45 is our delivery span after the revision!

We tested ours yesterday and was the same times as yours. Over 5 hours for a Saturday is a bit much. We have not even hit Christmas pressure yet. We left in 4 lines every day this week. So you clearing double mail every day and driving around with 30 tracks for the left in lines. It is extremely counter productive. And seeing Saturdays are one of our shorter days (5 hours, 30 hour contract) How can you complete a 5 hour walk ? Includes finishing prep, bagging up and getting to your duty (20 minutes drive?

Sick to death of these planners saying the computer says it can be done. Just once the planner should be given a bag and a van key and they can heroically demonstrate how the delivery can be done. Then when they return to the office at 5.30 the reality of the mess may start to dawn on them.
How much are they paying these planners. How much did they pay for the software that decides what's doable...

I could have done ours by communicating with other Posties, doing the rounds myself, noting things down with a pen and paper. It's not rocket science. Most Posties who have done multiple different rounds know what is too long and too short and it doesn't take much to move a loop from one round to another. Then all you have to do is go out and deliver the rounds with the new changes and refine them if needed.

Thanks for all the replies

Ive started cutting off because its just getting ridicolous, the planner doing the revisions has told me its a 5 hour job, ive told him its between 6 - 7 depending on the day. Nobody care nobody listens

Judging by the size of the planner ive seen in my office, i genuinely think he would properly struggle to do even one of the “harder” loops that i do- one in particular has 9 blocks of 3 storey flats. And apparently we’ve been given an extra 10-12 or so blocks of these flats in the upcoming revision 😂

My knees are already red and sore most days when i get home, and im only in my thirties. Actually starting to scare me the thought of how this job will physically affect me as i get older.
