Royal mail pension proposal = Strike action
Royal mail sick pay proposal = Strike action
Royal mail team working = Strike action
Royal mail terms for new starters = Strike action
Is anything up for negotiation?
And also we have seen what rm want why don't we see what the union is wanting.
Easy to say we don't want that & rm mail are making unreasonable demands what is the union demanding in return apart from their pension proposal.
Would be nice to know.
This ain't no baseball game, you get only one chance and you blew it.

RM are going to be looking to EVR off the older members so that'll leave us with a large amount of new staff on totally different terms and conditions and a smaller amount of mid-long term staff.

Why would the new workforce join a union when there on worse terms than the established posties ?
Very fair point.
Makes rm job of dividing & conquering the workforce much easier

Or in my case, I got to keep the allowance I already had.
Yes. That's correct and the guys who came after you and did the same job didn't so you were prepared to sell them out to keep your allowances.

I'm not saying it's right to surrender these legacy payments but it is wrong to try to play the moral card.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

So we sell out exisiting members rights fought for under past agreements?
You try seeing a £42 wage cut per week.
Just to clarify i've been doing this since 1990 so it's not as if i'm going to be unaffected by the legacy payments.

BUT like i said your going end up with a 2 teir workforce the majority will be the new ones on the s**t pay and conditions and the smaller minority will be the likes of you and I , now in 3 years time when we have new pay talks ( after theyve evr'd off the older staff) why are RM going to give a crap about a union with barely any members ?

I saw a £27 a week wage cut when they got rid of the high top vans. 3 years protection then it went, and because i was getting that allowance instead of the £6 normal driving allowance i ended up with nothing. And i lost my early morning shift payment when they changed our hours, and saturday premium when that went, oh and im about £30 down on the d2d payments i used to get. But my basic pay is higher than it was, because all that got chucked in the pot so everyone could have a rise in basic pay

PHGs in D.O.s who get the legacy payments also scored when we lost our D2D money. our PHG gets the delivery supplement and he doesn't touch the D2Ds. he didn't get any D2D payment when we used to get paid per items. now he gets the £23-odd D2D money as well as his legacy payment. so most who don't get these payments wouldnt give a monkeys if they did lose the legacy payments. another example of RMs divide and conquer strategy.

The delivery supplement is nothing at all to do with d2d, you could 0 or 10 d2ds, the delivery supplement stays the same

It's a long way down the line but IF we do go on strike then I hope that we do it properly.

There's no point in doing one day strikes, especially on a Tuesday and then making up for it later innthe week.

If we are serious about getting what we want call a week strike or go out until we do get what we want.

Royal mail has shareholders to appease now and if the business isn't doing anything for a few days or a week or two shareholders Will be livid and we have a stronger negotiating base.

A day here or there won't make a difference apart from costing us all a days wage.

The delivery supplement is made up of d2d monies & early shift allowance.
Another example of the union negotiating our allowances away.
Can't see what the high horse is about now
